Romário volta aos gramados: "Daqui a pouco vem a maca para me buscar"

Romário, aos 58 anos, continua a atrair os holofotes e a despertar muito interesse da mídia. O protagonista do Mundial de 1994 ainda busca realizar mais um sonho no futebol e está prestes a concretizá-lo. Nesta quinta-feira, ele participou de seu primeiro treino como jogador e presidente do América-RJ. O objetivo é jogar ao lado de seu filho, Romarinho.

“Sobre o treino, estou cansado para c*. Logo a maca vai me buscar, afinal, faz 16 anos que não treino. Acredito que, no geral, até consegui correr um pouquinho. Vamos conversar mais adiante. Quero deixar algo bem claro para todos: não vou disputar o campeonato. A ideia é jogar alguns minutos em algumas partidas. A questão técnica é o mais importante para o América nesta competição”, afirmou Romário, conforme citado pelo Globo Esporte.

“Meu maior objetivo aqui é ter a oportunidade de jogar com meu filho. Li sobre isso hoje, até o LeBron James tem essa possibilidade de jogar com o filho no próximo ano. Rivaldo já teve essa chance, poucos tiveram e muitos desejaram. E eu vou ter essa oportunidade”, completou o polêmico atacante.

Eleito presidente no final de 2023, Romário iniciou um projeto para colocar o América-RJ, seu time do coração, de volta à elite do futebol brasileiro.
