A crise, que já vinha se desenhando, se intensificou com a saída conturbada dos técnicos Ramón e Emiliano Díaz. Enquanto treinador e auxiliar afirmam que foram demitidos, o clube carioca nega e alega que foram eles que pediram demissão, alimentando as incertezas e aumentando a desconfiança da torcida.
Em meio ao caos, Euriquinho, filho do emblemático ex-presidente Eurico Miranda, concedeu uma entrevista à CNN Brasil neste domingo, com declarações fortes e preocupantes para os vascaínos. Ele afirmou que “o Vasco vai falir em dois anos se não houver mudança radical” e que o clube está com um prazo de validade, prevendo um futuro sombrio.
“Vai acabar, pode confirmar, pode anotar”. Ele, então, entrou em detalhes sobre os bastidores da relação do Vasco com a Sociedade Anônima de Futebol. “A maneira como o Vasco foi vendido… As consequências da irresponsabilidade de quem o fez (o contrato com a SAF) são seriíssimas. As pessoas ainda não tomaram dimensão. O Vasco teve aporte financeiro nos últimos dois anos e, no ano que vem, acabam-se os aportes.”

Não foram solucionados os problemas das dívidas. O Vasco vai pedir recuperação judicial. E o final de quem pede recuperação judicial e não cumpre com a recuperação judicial é a falência.”
A situação política está agitada no clube há tempos. No último pleito, Euriquinho retirou sua candidatura à presidência para apoiar Leven Siano, da chapa “Somamos”, porém, quem saiu vitorioso foi Pedrinho, ex-jogador e ex-comentarista esportivo, pela chapa “Somos Vasco”, com 3.372 votos contra 1.844 do adversário.
Euriquinho é filho de Eurico Miranda, que foi presidente do Vasco em dois mandatos (2001-2008 e 2014-2018). Seu legado continua presente, influenciando os rumos do clube mesmo após seu falecimento em 2019, aos 74 anos.
