O corpo de Paulo Roberto Braga, idoso que foi levado já sem vida a um banco de Bangu, no Rio de Janeiro, será enterrado neste sábado, 20, no Cemitério em Campo Grande, zona oeste da capital fluminense. O sepultamento começará às 11h30, segundo o próprio cemitério.
O enterro acontece quatro dias depois do caso que ganhou repercussão nacional na última terça-feira, 16. Funcionários do banco filmaram o momento em que Érika de Souza Vieira Nunes, de 43 anos, tentava fazer Braga assinar um empréstimo de R$ 17 mil, mas ele parecia já estar morto. Ela chamava o idoso de “tio Paulo”.
O Serviço de Atendimento Médico de Urgências (Samu) foi chamado, e um médico constatou a morte dele ainda na agência. Érika foi presa em flagrante pelos crimes de furto mediante fraude e vilipêndio a cadáver e está detida desde a terça, 16.
Na última quinta-feira, 18, a Justiça manteve a prisão de Érika após audiência de custódia na cadeia José Frederico Marques, em Benfica, na zona norte do Rio.
A juíza Rachel Assad da Cunha atendeu o MP-RJ e afirmou que, pelo que se percebe nos vídeos, quem queria fazer o empréstimo era Érika, embora o dinheiro não pertencesse a ela. O condutor do veículo, por sua vez, declarou aos agentes que o idoso “chegou a segurar a porta do carro” ao descer. Os depoimentos corroboram a versão da defesa de Érika, de que o homem teria chegado vivo à agência bancária.
Na quarta-feira, 17, o motorista por aplicativo que foi chamado para buscar Braga e Erika, e um mototaxista que ajudou a colocar o idoso no carro, prestaram depoimentos à Polícia Civil.
O mototaxista disse que conhecia Braga e que foi chamado por Érika para ajudar a colocá-lo no carro por volta de 12h20. Na declaração, ele afirmou que, quando entrou na casa o idoso estava na cama. Quando o segurou, disse o mototaxista à polícia, “ele ainda respirava e tinha força nas mãos”.
