Menina nasce com 26 dedos e um pé no joelho; pais relatam dificuldades

Alice, nascida em 31 de dezembro de 2021, enfrenta uma jornada médica desafiadora desde seu nascimento. A menina, que vive com a síndrome de Laurin-Sandrow, uma doença genética rara que causa malformações, já passou por diversas cirurgias, incluindo a amputação de uma perna.

Com 26 dedos e sem polegares nas mãos, Alice ainda tem mais duas cirurgias pela frente: a amputação da outra perna em maio e a construção de um polegar a partir de um dos dedos extras em outubro.

Os pais de Alice, Mickaël e sua esposa, decidiram processar o obstetra que a acompanhou durante a gravidez por não ter detectado as malformações antes do nascimento. “A nossa filha tem mais de 80% de deficiência, não escolhemos esta vida, nem ter uma filha deficiente. A nossa vida é um inferno todos os dias”, desabafou Mickaël ao jornal francês L’Aisne.

Mesmo diante dos desafios, Mickaël e sua esposa se esforçam para proporcionar a Alice uma vida o mais normal possível. Os avós cuidam da menina enquanto os pais trabalham, pois nenhuma creche a aceita devido à sua condição. “Ela está um pouco atrasada em relação às crianças da mesma idade que frequentam a escola e convivem”, explica Mickaël.
